Title: Colour coding my rear valance
Post by: mowlamb on 04 April 2010, 18:47
I'm gunna attempt to colour code my rear valance this week. It is a standard one at the mo so is of the textured variety. Can I get rid of the textured affect with some good old fashioned sanding or is there something I can use to get a smoother finish? At the mo I just have normal halford's grey primer. I'm guessing there is a better primer out there that might help give a smooth finish.

Any advice would be much appreciated

use some plastic primer then a couple of coats of a high build primer, you will have to flat it back however and may take a couple of goes to get perfect, you could buy some bumper fill but that will take a lot longer both applying it and rubbing down.
