went to the lakes on thursday for a few days and i had being before when i was younger and so had forgot about the roads... the grin soon came out when i got to the start of the windy roads. iv only just bought my mk5 gti and not had chance to really give the handleing a good test. If anyone has being, the roads are amazing not for quick silly driveing, just low speed good connecting corners. leaves a really big grin on your face. must say love my new golf carnt wait to really give it a good seeing to on a track day. just thought id leave a post as im still all giddy about it and suggest if anyone is driveing around the area maybe go for a quick blast ha

Know what you mean I was up there last year in the Ed30, some amazing roads around there, twisty bits loads bends but had to watch out for the bikes , like a missile coming at you them?? Would'nt like to be up there at the moment due to massive pot holes??

Strangely enough I went there in my stage2+ ed30 last july (poured down with rain the whole time). Spectacular scenery, pottering around has never been so much fun.

brilliant roads for pottering around  those bikers are ones to look out for to come out from no where generally on your side of the road.. little missiles is the perfect way to describe them  ha

I've been about 5 times in the last couple of years. Beautiful roads and scenery. The road between Ambleside and keswick is superb, as is the B5289 going the long way between Keswick and Cockermouth

Agree with you their Hurdy !
I did a course up there 8 years before, pleasingly nothing had changed to when I last visited.
