i brought a 1989 8v a couple of weeks ago and as of yesterday it now has a pretty rought vibrations when drivin in a staight line but when i turn the steering wheel the vibrations stop.
any 1 now what this could be?

What sort of speed are you getting the vibrations and are you hearing any strange noises?

Wheel balancing/ cv joint/ wheel bearing inner, otherwise known as the usual suspects...
Any knocking/ clicking when turning?

as soon as i go over bout 10 mph it starts and it sounds and feels like ive got a flat tyre but i havnt

Buckled wheel or damaged tyre casing if its showing at such a slow speed.

inner CV joint is dry
mine did the same thing when i got it
loads of nice grease in there after a good clean and it is sorted now :wink: :wink:

Well, Ive just had a look in my Crystal ball, its telling me that the problem was that the council had come along and put speed bumps on his road! and he'd not noticed.... just thought I'd let you all know :wink:

Ah, thanks Thom, at least other members with similar symptoms will know what to look out for now.

I reckon a bit of chewing gum was stuck on the tyre......... :laugh:
