Title: paint prep before applying Lifeshine?
Post by: JJH on 03 April 2010, 23:55
I'll be getting a new car soon and need to know the best method to prepare the paint before I apply.
The current plan is to clean it, dry it, clay it, clean it again, dry it then apply the solution.
Any suggestions on what I could do differently. I just want to make sure I'm giving the stuff the best start....
Cheers, J

are we talking a brand spanking out of the stealers new car or a new used car?

after you've clayed id give it a polish with a finishing polish or a glaze, blackmax glaze is awesome stuff, dodojuice lime prime lite.

i dont use srp im afraid, it has fillers in it which will just mask any defects in the paint/clearcote, asuming the paint on the car is good when you pick it up id say it would be fine to use it before you seal and wax it.
