Just detailed the car today, spent 7 hrs on it and its looking good again.
I used the foam lance, which might I add is a genius invention with VP Snow Foam. As I then rinsed off the foam I noticed lots of little black specs which I though, ok thats tar I'll get rid of them, but then there were bigger splashes and this time they were silver  I really dont know what they are, they didnt look like the normal tar marks and they took a hell of a lot of elbow grease and tar remover (I used halfrauds tar remover as my autosmart tardis is at my sisters).
Anyone seen these before and what are they and any ideas how to prevent them ?
Also, I would have thought that with a coat of jetseal and 2 coats of wax the car would have been protected enough for the tar marks and these silver marks to come off a little bit easier ?

Did the tar remover "melt" the marks? If so then it sounds like tar (the black spots that is). Other than that, the only thing I can think of is speccles of paint maybe?

have you been near a railway or metalworks?

The black spots came off with the tar remover np, the silver ones came off eventually after the tar remover and a good bit of elbow grease. Without the tar remover and just elbow grease they didnt budge.
If it was paint, I really cant think how it got there, as I say it wasnt one area it was all areas on the car.

No, nothing like that.
I at first thought it may be tree sap or crap that falls from the trees as my parking is sometimes near a tree/bushy area when its parked at night. But I ruled that out as the colour was silver.
