Title: glove box light

hi there the glove box light on my gti doesnt work when i open it ,i took the light out and it seems to be a sealed unit with a multi plug on the end of it. Can this sealed unit be opened or will i need a new one ,,,and are they expensive

''yes'' the unit can be opened it's something to do with  tags on the metal part of the unit.

As above, unclip the metal part and the bulb can be changed.
