Post by: ErikGTI on 01 April 2010, 17:32
Okay I admit I want some attention....

10 o'clock tomorrow I can pick up my car....due to this forum probably the most anticipation I ever experienced getting new wheels...

I hope the surprise is totally positive since I have not seen him before-hand...(aftermarket leather etc)..

I have off till tuesday so me and my wife or gonna leave our MK V there behind and drive away with the MK VI

Hi Guys,

It was a day with mixed emotions I will spare you the details but my car came without front and back parkingsensors (luckily the did install my camera)
also there was no ipod cable for my filled to the brim apple.....and the HTC touch 2 DOES NOT PAIR (despite other vw forum stories ).......with the premium carkit (beware it does with the touch-adapter)......enough to try to disapoint me...

Anyway the Nokia E-72 from the salesguy paired immediately so I bought that one on the way home...setting me back another 400 euro's...

Anyway the salesman was not to blame...he showed me eveything and we made a signed statement that we gonna sort things out next wek....I WANTED MY CAR....

It drives much better than the MK V...sound is to die for and I felt it went quicker (that is all that matter)...

The aftermarket leather looks rather luxurios so top notch...furthermore no scratches  or other disapointments...

I als did theGTI seat inserts and I think some of you will like it ...unfortunately I tried to post it but it goes wrong.....if somebody would be so kind to post it for me...I will mail it to you....I have made 2 of the car and 2 of the finished inserts....

Glad you like your GTI. Don't worry about all the Bluetooth and MP3 gizmos, they're not really what matters in a car. Is your dealer going to retrofit new bumpers with the parking sensors in? I agree about the noise, it's intoxicating

Don't worry about the gizmos.
But get the front and rear parking sensors. They are immensely useful.
Enjoy your beauty!

They will contact the factory if it is possible to get factory bumpers...otherwise retrofit on the rear...front is not possible...

I have got all the electronic toys working today ..usb..SD..and phone.......that really looks amazing

I am so disappointed in you :cry:that a man with such obvious intelligence and wit is unable to park a car without help. :wink:shame on you!!
