What on earth is my offset?
Audi rs6 17inch baby wheels? I have 35mm all round and was wanting to put 40mm just on the back? Would that cause an issue or look stupid ie slope would occur?
(ps I know it a dumb question!)
-
Most of the 17" RS6 reps are 35mm offset.
-
40 offset is too high and may rub on the inner arch and shock if it is lowered
-
take the wheel off and have a look
-
waz i would take thr wheel off but I have no idea what I am lookin for lol

It will say ET and a number,my wheels say ET40 that is the offset.
-
ok will take a wheel off in a bit and have a look, pray it says ET40!! if not then stick to my orginal set up
-
mine are ET38, new wheels are ET35
-
Just stick the suspension on, it won't rub at all
-
from that meaning just get some 40mm rears and wack um on and pray they wont rub?
-
reading into it you mean lowering rather than offset?
-
Just want the back lowering but wondered if mine can do it? currently 35mm all round

you won't have a problem - its the front that runs into trouble as you go lower
Get them fitted and stop fretting
-
thank you rhys! Simple and plain lang I understand - sorry for being stupid

That's where spacers come into play.
-
dont have to have spacers on the back if I dont want to? Just lower it 40mm and end of story?
Spacers gives it the wide boy look? Any pics with spacers on and 40mm?
Also having car 35mm front and 40mm back will it look odd? (most important question)
