I get a lovely sound from a simota aeroform, it's basically a cone filter in a carbon fibre trumpet but the air rushing in through carbon resonates well

My mates got a 57i Air filter, and it gives him a sort of whoosh sound when he changes gear, his car is standard other then this air filter.

Why's it sounding like a dump valve?

Is his a 1.8T?

Is it a whoosh or a chatter?? If its the latter then his DV is knackered and needs replacing
