Title: mk3 golf estate 1.9tdi tuning, and looks
Post by: nickson on 29 March 2010, 21:27
hi everyone, im the new owner of a 1.9tdi mk3 golf cl, m reg with 80k on the clock. picked it up for an absolute bargain of £150, with just broken engine mount. so have a bit of money spare to make it look pretty and if possible get a bit more power from it.

can anyone tell me if its possible to up the boost for a bit more power, and the best way to go about it if possible.

next thing is making it look good. i have a set of coilovers lined up from a mates gti, and would like to fit some good wide wheels with good offset to get it sitting low and wide.
what is the std offset of these cars, just so i can work out the sort of fitment i need to get the wheels out the arches a bit, got an arch roller ready lol. was thinking of just banding, or modding the std steels to get a good dish/offset.
can any1 give me some ideas, or pics of low and wide estates for a bit of inspiration.

also wheres the best place to find splitters, grilles etc to get it looking smooth.
im new to the vw scene so any help or advice is much appriceated.

thanks in advance.
nick
