Title: Central Locking Problem ???
Post by: pioneer_36 on 29 March 2010, 16:40
Hi everyone,

In the past few days I have got myself a Golf GT TDI Mkiv (150bhp) 5dr on an 02 plate, firstly this is a great car to drive but i need some help with a little issue.

When using the key fob to unlock the car the drivers door opens on the 1st press of the button, however it takes me 2 more presses of the button to open the remainder of the doors and boot, does anyone know why this is and how to fix it, it's not a major problem as the dors always open on the third press, more of a nuisance really.

Thanks everyone

Noel

It's the default setting

one click for drivers door
two clicks for the rest

Timing is crucial though - not too quick and not too slow lol

It can be altered using VAGCOM (software - search the forum as its been covered loads )

Welcome BTW

I found this quite annoying at first, but I got use to it. It comes in handy when you dont want to give someone who you dont like a lift
