Been searchin about lowering.  Does the drive shaft rubbing cause any long term damage?

in a word yes

eventually wear through your drive shaft and or roll bar causing either or to rust / break

No worries.  To add the noise would do your head in after about 5 minutes too  :laugh: :laugh:

go lower and get adjustable drop links  :laugh:
