Title: Alarm makes no sounds when car is locked with fob?

I have a 1999 MK4 GTI.

The alarm that works fine (i've set it off a few times before).

Basically when I lock the car with the fob, it makes no sound (but locks it, and turns on the alarm). Is is supposed to make a noise (like alarm bleep or horn noise)?

I'd quite like to be able to set it to make a noise since someimes I can't tell wether it's locked or not...

Its normal. You can have a beep enabled with VAG com  :smiley:

Yeap thats it Cheap leads can be had on ebay  :wink:

I'd rather just buy one as I might change at a later date...
