£2-2.5k, NOT £4k.
IF YOU WERE TO BUILD FROM SCRATCH I RECON YOU WOULD SPEND OVER £18,000.
If I'd spent £11k or £18k and had a car that looked as bodged and shyte as that I'd be pretty seriously annoyed.
I think this is proof that you can spend a LOT of money and still have a load of old rubbish. That engine looks crusty and nasty as hell. The interior is utterly hanging and I'm not buying that it weighs 730Kg.
The photos really do show just a whole world of wrong.
Plus it doesn't even have 280mm front brakes, if it can still be fitted with 14" wheels.

if i was in the position to spend £4k on a golf i'd buy a7ufo's diesel one.

For sure.

I can't see it weighing 730. those plastic windows look good though, its hard to tell they aren't glass. You can believe the build cost though seeing all those tsr receipts!
its got a lot of potential, but that cage has to go, I hate cages that go round the dash

if that car weights less than my car, i'll give mine away

Pics weren't up when I posted, looks sh!te. Sorry

A classic case of something being far less than the sum of its parts.
A very poor effort.... FAIL!!!!

After asking £3995 for it on ED38 it would seem the winning ebay bidder got it for £2500.
I think they were lucky to get that much for it tbh
It will need a LOT of tidying!

I've never seen such a sh1t engine bay. One the basis that that's £4k I should have asked £8k for mine.

I've never seen such a sh1t engine bay.
It does make mine look lovely....despite the fact the motor still has water and sand marks all over it due to its previous life as an unsealed-surface auto-test car

I got chating to to the owner of this car last year at a trackday at Lydden hill, he paid £2500 for it last year. I will say it seemed to handle very well & was quite quick around Lydden circuit.
