Title: Golf Gti 20L Runs Rough from cold start

Hi I have a mk 4 golf gti 20L in the morning when you first start it up it runs really rough wont idle as it should misses and all sorts once you have run it for 5 mins and restarted it it runs spot on iv unplug air flow meter and it runs fine then so i brought a secondhand meter and its still the same first thing in the morning has anyone got a idea whats up with it

The second hand air flow metre is a bad start, if your going to replace the use a new genuine item.

Also try cleaning the Throttle body and then get the car scanned for fault codes. Could be various things like, MAF, Temp Sender, a dodgy coilpack.

Didnt read that bit, thought it was the usual 1.8t dodgy running problem again.

Didnt read that bit, thought it was the usual 1.8t dodgy running problem again.

Its a petrol - it WILL have a dodgey running problem  :laugh: :laugh:
