Title: Quad lights

Just bought some Quads for my mk3 gti and have heard that vw wiring is to powerful for them or something like that. Anyone know of any problems as i would rather know about them before i catch the car on fire. I bought them on ebay and was told they were a direct replacment. Any help appreciated.

Just read your post. Have you been able to fit the lights as i am looking for the same set up and would like to see a picture of them fitted. I was hoping that these lights would be better than standard.  WIth regard to your enquiry about the wiring i seem to recall reading something many years ago about an additional wiring harness which could be bought from BRmotorsport in order to use more powerful bulbs. Im afraid thats all i know.

If they are Morrette's i would have thought that was fine coz they are a straight replacement.
Would only be a problem if you were fiitting stronger bulbs other than what came with the quads.
