Title: mk3 2l gearbox into mk2 8v gti golf

Hi, has anyone done this swap

i have a low mileage 2l 8v mk3 box i want to fit to my 89 pb golf 8v gti. i heard somewhere that you can do this, does anyone know what if any different parts i need?

Which clutch should i use?

Which gearbox mount fits?

Will the gear linkage fit?

Did this on my 8v
Fantastic long gears 5th just goes for ever

so mate do i need any different bits or does my mark2 clutch n engine mounts and linkage fit?

Use your mk2 clutch and g/box mounts, fit your speedo drive and you should be good to go.

I just uprated my clutch, apart from that straight swap.
