Title: Replace Passenger Side Wing Mirror
Post by: PMD-V5 on 25 March 2010, 11:10
Hey guys, I just recently bought a Golf V5 2002 (How much of a b!tch is it to get hold of a Haynes for these things!).
Anyway, the other night some MOTHER F***ER   :angry:smashed my wing mirror and pulled it off. Luckily it was the one that the electrics didnt seem to work properly on anyway so now I need to replace it. Does anyone know how to get the old mirror off? The whole thing? Just dont wanna break anything for no reason! And I'm ex company car driver=USELESS ha ha ha.

need to remove the interior door card as the bolt holding it is located behind the tweeter grill on the front of the door

Guide to doing that is in the maintenance and info section :afro:

reading it I presumed that the entire mirror is knackered so he'll need to get at the bolt holding it in place
