Title: another o2 sensor question
Post by: pitchy on 24 March 2010, 18:58
just looking on euro carparts to order my new sensor for the front (aum) and theres a universal sensor available but with no connector , is it just a matter of cutting the wires/connector off my old one and re-connecting it? theres £40 difference , just seems like a no brainer to me if its that simple?
cheers

just get the proper one that fits ! dont muck around cutting wires etc as they might be damaged further away from where you cut .

tbh if i were you i would get the part that will fit exact afaik with the universal ones it is a case of wiring up to a connector but you need to know what each wire is and where it needs wiring in relation to each other   alot more work whereas fitting the correct made to fit part is just that fit connect plug and job done
