Title: Boot problems wont open?

Any one having any problems with there boot opening from the key? I know its double push to open the boot but mine just drives me insane wont bloody open? Somtimes it does and then it dosn't?

Very strange got a mind of its own?? :angry:

I have this problem on my touran it drives you crazy ,why they don`t just stick to one click opening :angry: :grin:

I had the same issue with my MK5... it hardly ever worked!
I don't know why, and I never bothered investigating as I rarely used the button anyway.
I just tried my Golf Plus 20 minutes ago, and it works fine every time (the few times I tried it anyway!)
Perhaps ask next time your in past the dealer.

Steve, just get your dealer to change your settings with vag.com which they should do FOC. Ask them to set it to one click opening all doors, I also had them change it so that when you drive off, all the doors lock.

You can change those settings on the highline display - I did it on my loan Golf Plus when I got home as the single doory unlock does my head in!

Hold the down button on the right hand stalk for 5 seconds or so when sitting still.  Go into Convenience, then Locking (or something like that) and then Manual - where you can choose All Unlock.

love this forum, top man it works like a treat now! All the doors open now on first click including the boot. Me & the mrs had a major argument over this the Other day bloody shopping! She will be happy now? He says? Her words open the Fu.... Boot for Christ sake, yea and you can guess my response drove me  Fu....mad its open you stupid women, no it wasn't ! Errr sorry darling!!

Hello mate, how are ya? Yes my Ed30 was fine I didnt have any problem with that one double click and it opened!! I was out this morning drove about 3 miles the engine tempture just about reached 90 on the needle, when I tunerd it off the fan kicked in after for about 10 mins very loud fan aswell? The first time this has happend the car has done 11,00 miles now??

Is this normal? very strange? :undecided:

Mine is a one click open and close even though the delivery driver told me it was a two click system!

Yeah my fan was on for around 10 minutes the other week after switching off.
I thought it was a bit excessive but appears to be normal behaviour.

Very strange not like i had done loads of miles just a bit of sprited driving that morning becuse it was 5am!! Its not been on since?  :undecided:
