Title: Electric window help please 16v

Hi all

I am having problems with my driver side electric window, was working recently, changed switches ie passenger side for drivers side but still no joy, any offers of advice much appreciated, where to look next etc,.....

pull the mech for the glass out the runner and see if the motor works. On mine the motor is fine but the rest seizes every now and again, a common fault i think.

try putting a live and earth on the motor itself then you will know if its knackered

try a test light /voltmeter to the window loom as the motor tends to seize up you might think its dead when it just needs freeing up they tend to collect water i freed mine at the wk end just by undoing the two pozi screws on the motor pulling the housing up then screwing it back down .max
