what size centre caps do i need for my original 18" monza II alloys?

I THINK (THINK being a key word here) they are 65mm or 66mm or something like that.

lol I put 56mm at first and then changed it.

You can get em on ebat cheaper P/N is 3B7 601 171

Thats the ones for Edition 30 pescarra's which I would assume is same for Monza's

The mk5 takes 65mm centre caps (and the mk6  :laugh: )
MK4 takes 55mm
The clue is in the bigger PCD on a mk5 (and a mk6)
