Hi all
In my quest to get a bit more economical due to the extra miles I will need to do for work, I have seen a car and will be viewing in the next day or two.
Its an 05 plate Mk5 2.0 GT TDI.
Mileage is currently at 61000
Comes with Climate Control, DSG, Centre Arm Rest
Its had full VW servicing - last one was at 53k miles last year in June.
CamBelt replaced last year.
DSG oil change at 40k
What else should I look out for??
Ive never purchased a car that is out of manufacturer warranty before - this will be my first!
Its up at £9k at the moment, hoping to knock it down a little though........

being a diesel just check for excessive signs of black smoke as this could indicate a boost leak
If its blue / white smoke then the turbo is on it's last legs
Give it a good test drive, from cold ideally - should pull smoothly from around 1600rpm and although it will tail off at around 3000rpm there shouldn't be 'flat spot's in the performance
Listen out for any knocking noises, anything that doesn't sound normal etc
