Title: mk4 door grabs
Post by: godsANGER on 22 March 2010, 00:45
oks i was sorting my window problem and had my door apart i noticed that my grab handles were in a . . Well fubar'd condition so thought would give them a quick refurb.
Going to spray them matt black till i get my carbon rap.

Sanded down the passenger side got rid of that rubber off it, which was a right pain to get off and now its primed.

My question is Can you get a clear none shine lacquer as my clear lacquer still gives my mat black paint a shine, really want a flat matt black for the inside.

Thanks

Nice and black, can still see 1 or 2 or the really deep nocks its had but looks a hell of a lot better then before.

Lacquered and fitted, look a lot better but . . . it’s made me take need to take off and start spraying the handles so it all matchers up

Change off plan!

taking all the paint of the handles just going to sand down till smooth then putting loads of black to black/bumper black to blacken it up,
The outer bits I am going to just do the same, then there ready for the carbon raping when I get round to buying it.

Done it to the passenger side handles look nice re fitting tomorrow think ill do all of them tomorrow and refit. Gives a very nice matt black look
