My Golf is dropp ed about 60mm,would I need to do any arch work if I fitted 17x7.5 rims ?
-
Possibly very minor modification yes.also if uve had it lowered 60mm get the alignment checked or else it will go thru Tyres like they are goin out of fashion.
-
17"s are a bit big for a mk2, 16"s would be better.
-
Or stick to 15's. Or you could go for the Euro look 15 x 7 or 7.5 front 16 x 8 or 8.5 rear,
-
Probably, depending on the offset?
17inch wheels with a 60mm drop would look pretty daft though.
-
As said before, 17s usually look too big for mk2s, look at lots of pics before you ddecide to do it, but if you like it, by all means go ahead. There aren't many Golfs on big wheels, so expect to get some negativity for it, but if you like it stick to your guns

I saw some TSW hockenheims for sale off a Mk2 Golf and thought they looked good(each to their own I know)I've emailed the seller to find out the offset,no answer as yet
