Title: New member saying Hello

Hi Guys

Put a deposit down on a Mk3 GTi today which I'm picking up on Friday for use as my new daily driver :smiley:

No stranger to VW/Audi stuff - have owned a Mk1 Golf, Mk2 8v GTI, Audi Coupe 2.3GT and Audi A4 in the past

Also into E30 BMW's and a regular on www.e30zone.net

Looking forward to owning a GTi again  :smiley:

Well I picked it up today - and I like it  :smiley:

Had a 50 mile or so drive back during which time there was some pretty heavy traffic - no overheating nonsense at all - fan kicked in just as it should and the temp gauge was smack in the middle where it should be.

Does seem to suffer a little hesitation at times but I gave it a good blast on the motorway which seems to have pretty much cured it :cool:

It hasn't been serviced for just over a Year so will change the oil and filters asap - also gonna do a thorough clean of the throttle body.

Will start a pics thread tomorrow
