Title: Handbrake bulb/ light blowing

Soldered in 2 new bulbs today to my 90 driver and both have blown. One straight away and the other after 5 mins any ideas why?

Just a thought...are they 12 volt??

I think so they are the same bulbs that are in my dash???? And tried another one that was in an old stereo??? Have ordered a 12v led one now well see
