Title: headlight wooooos

if u got any ideas would be great

when i put main beam on there fine when u put full beam on the drivers side goes to dipped and the spot light dont work on the same side

but both work fine on passenger side

also got no dash lights any ideas ???

Left and right full beam have separate fuses and if the full beam fuse is blown the symptoms u describe would happen... Check the fuses 1st and let us know...

On mine some cock put the main beam spotlight plug in my sidelight and vice verca because the grille had been swapped for nasty one and they are the same plugs.

ok will look into that to but surly the side lights wouldnt work both sides

also checked fuses this morning all good

time to get a multimeter! check for 12v between the high beam pin on the headlight plug and the battery -ve, and then check for continuity to ground between the brown wire on the headlight plug and the battery -ve.

I had the same issue on mine but I just put in an uprated loom as I wanted the headlights to be better anyway and this got round the issue...(couldt find out what the problem was)

I know thats not really the answer to your question but it is one of the best mods I've done on the car, really improving the headlights so I just thought I'd mention it.

Fire a post up if you do work out what was wrong tho....be interesting to know.

yup a made a uprated loom in my old golf the lights were so bright also put 80/100wat bulbs in that made a hell of a differenc eto i will have a look tom and see if i can work this out doin my head in lol
