Hi
Spent most of last Sunday washing, polishing and then waxing my car, it was the first proper clean in months! Then two days later it lightly rained and left dusty / dirty speckles over the whole car!
I dont want to spend another day cleaning it this wkend, so is it possible to clean the dirt off and not remove the wax if i just wash it with water only?? Or will it leave streaky marks all over it?
Im hoping I can get rid of the dirt and the water will just bead nicely on the car.
Thanks

sometimes rain, especially when brought over from continental europe/africa, contains a lot of sand and this could be the reason for the deposits on your car...
never fear... you should easily be able to wash it off quickly without affecting the protection you have already instilled
fact is... that a weekly wash should be part of your regime anyway.
try Bilt Hamber Autowash... it is a non-corrosive shampoo which will not affect your wax protection... it also lasts forever so is a lot more effective than using Autoglym etc.
Combine this with a two bucket wash and use a waffle to dry and you will be laughing.
If I were you after your wash this week I would add another coat of wax... what wax are you using btw?
After future washes you could always 'top-up' your protection using Dodo 'red mist' which is an excellent product.

Cheers for the info!
I'm not a detailing expert yet so just used some cheap polish I had lying around and then meguiars wax on top of that.
I think i'll get some better products before the next wash, where can i get some of the ones you suggested?
Thanks
