Title: Mk1 20v queries

I've been looking for a 20v 1.8t for my mk1 and have found a 180 bhp AJQ engine out of a audi a3 quattro sport. Only problem is it's missing a gearbox and ecu and throttle body. Now the last one isn't a problem as i need a cable t/b anyway so need to find one. only probem is what gearbox to use and what management system to use as there's no ECU. Any help would be appreciated

Have spent a fair bit of time on the golf, changed the g/box for a o2a and that has let me use a vr6 clutch. Built a mega squirt kit and changed to programmable efi, went to the states for a couple of weeks, lots of pressure at work, etc. Oh, and my PC went tit$ up and had to reformat the h/d  >:(. So just the usual really ;).
