Yo!
My car developed a leak and has a soggy drivers side footwell. This Saturday I intend on taking the carpet out of the car and using a Vax to clean it thoroughly. Should I do anything else while it's off? Anti bacterial stuff maybe?!

yep get some zoflora antibac from asda, tesco etc etc, make up a weak/medium strength mixture in a spray bottle and mist over the carpet and allow to soak(after you've removed the manky water its been sitting in)
check for leaks around your door/windscreen rubbers, check your rubbers on bulkhead aswell.

I've found the leak :) I'll pick up some Zoflora from work.
Thanks!

Bonnet release grommit from where I put boost gauge in.

no probs dude pleasure  glad you've got it sorted,
zoflora is really economical, 1 small capfull diluted in 500ml of water in a spray bottle works wonders(good for spraying on your kitchen work surfaces to keep them free of bacteria, i always use it in my spray extraction machine to eliminate bacteria building up during the drying process when i do car interiors.
