Title: what engine type?

How can I tell what type of engine I've got in my 1.8T, i.e. a  AWD or  AWW ? Its a 2001 on a 51 plate. ;D

my brain has gone dead tonight.. im thinking AUM but to be sure just take the plastic engine cover off and its stamped into a tag on the left hand side, just three letters  :)

whats an AUM? I thought it would be an AWD or AWW? :(

assuming its a UK car.. these are the following engine codes in 1.8T golfs

AGU (up to late '99) - K03 turbo, no VVT, Non DBW, 150bhp, 5speed
ARZ (99-00) - K03 turbo, no VVT, DBW, 150bhp, 5speed
AUM (late 00 - 02) - K03s turbo, VVT, DBW, 150bhp, 5speed
AUQ (late 02 onwards) - K03s turbo, VVT, DBW, 180bhp, 6speed

if its anything else then its an import !
