Title: MK3 ICE ADVICE
Post by: i-espedair on 08 November 2004, 15:44
I have just invested in a new system and need some wiring / layout advice.

I have got a 3 dr mk3 gti. I have bought a pair of 16.5 Infinity reference 2 ways. And a pair of 16.5 Infinity reference components. I have a vibe active 10' sub in the back. And a vibe black box 2, 2 channel amp to help with the speakers.

I was gonna put the components in the front, the woofers in the doors with the tweeters in the dash. Put the 2 ways in the back cards and use the amp to power the components in the front. Then stick the sub and the amp in the boot.

What do the experts think???

Also how do you get new wiring through the doors on the mk3 as all the wiring goes through a big loom socket???

Cheers, Paul

the setup you've sugested is ideal Paul. As for getting the wires into the doors you've got 2 options. either use the original speaker wire or make some new holes for the new speaker wire to go through.
