Get Volksworld magazine.

Look on the web for air-cooled sites, there are loads of em!
Easy and cheap cars. Fine if ya want a 0-60 time in minutes! LOL
Get one with the bigger engines. A 1500 is not bad 1600 best. Loads of tuning parts and easy to make a fast one.

I had one as a company car once! LOL 1302S. had a 1600 engine but would only top out at 90mph
Nice cars but ya have to really be into them.
The scene in this country is huge, loads of local groups and meets.
Bug Jam is massive. Also Run to the Sun has a big air-cooled contingent.

If ur g/f gets into the scene you will have to keep up too!

yeah ive got one now but dont think its worth coming to have a look at just yet!! As for getting one for a 1st car, id er pass on that, i drove this about 50 miles today from picking it up and too be honest it was fookin scarey after being used to driving newer stuff (crap brakes/strange gear shift/lack of heating/steamed up windows)er the list could go on, but besides those points it was fun aswell!!
