Title: How do you remove the centre vent surround? Squeeky dash!!
Post by: Tucker82 on 14 March 2010, 16:20
Its right at the top of the dash above the centre vents. Rest your hand on the dash and it stops. I'll stop it if I can just get the vents out without breaking the surround.

Anybody tell me while its still light outside please!!

pop the vents out with a screwdriver then there are 2 screws to undo to get the housing out

I popped the vents out, and there are 2 pin looking things in either corner at the top, but they're not screws. They got silver heads on them!?

As wazzer said, there should be two screws holding them in behind the vents -- they are torx headed :afro:

sorted fella's cheers. Although when I got it out, I couldn't get to the top of the dash as the blower tube is bang in the way. Need to figure out the easiest way to get to it to stop the rattle.
