Going to clean it soon just want to know would it be best to clean inside the black pipe going down the (i think it goes) the intercooler also would it be best to clean out the intercooler at the same time? Also would you recommend replacing any part i.e gasket, seals if so do you know part numbers and prices, if so is there a guide to removing and cleaning the Intercooler?
Also me being heavily handed again i snapped the piece off the dipstick pipe  think i had already been glued at some point

EGR looks like its leaking somewhere. Take it off, clean it up and replace that rubber o-ring.

Correct. Messy job and the third bolt can be a pain to get at.

Think ill get it done after work sometime this week. Going to replace to round seal and the two spring clips at the top just so i know there solid.
Should i clean the pipe also or at least wash it out?
Wouldn’t know about the intercooler how to clean it etc.
Thanks

Got my dipstick tube ordered from GSF yesterday, VW wanted £8.50 but GSF said the dipstick tube was only £1.80 that seems to cheap to me! Picking it up tomorrow, wonder what they think i was asking lol
-
Dipstick from my steelers is £6.80 and the tube is £3.67 incl vat....
-
New dip stick fitted  wonder how long it well last with me around lol
Quick question, dose the dip stick lock in to something? as my last one was just lose, as in went over the hole but didn’t lock in the place so when i take the cover off the dip stick and the tube come off with it ? Or do u just push the dip stick in as you take the cover off.
Plan for Saturday, recover from hangover. Fit new window regulator and clean that EGR Vale. Hope weather keeps good

ok so far the weekend hasn’t gone to plan, Saturday rained so couldn’t do anything, but i did recover. I ve cleaned the car today just waiting for my mate to come with his little tool box and going to get the window sorted.
Was under the engine bay and nosiest this on the ERG vale, looks like a hole? Is it spostre be there?

And to take the ERG vale off, do i just take the pipe off on the left; undo the three bolts on the right, pop of the pipe on the top. But the pipe leading to the back do you just pull it off? [PIC]

Hi
Thanks for the photos.
Clean the area around the oil filter. Start the car, and look up at the oil filter seal area for the leaking oil.

Thanks ill have to look tomorrow in the light. Can you get new seals from GSF or is it a Dealer jobie? As I am going Tuesday for some parts

Hi
The oil filter seal comes with the oil filter.
Generally for seals it is best to go to VW.
