Title: Advice: front spot light removal
Post by: simon44 on 13 March 2010, 16:51
Hi, not going well today! Have removed centre lens between indicator and spot light, have removed two screws, but the light wont come out as the housing is too wide. There is a white tube with screw embedded in there, have tried loosening this which has now snapped. Spot not budging. Any thoughts?!

Cheers,

Simon

Stick a flat headed screwdriver between the bumper (nearest the number plate) and the fog light, and prise the light out, it will come out at an angle

You say you've undone the screws, well on the other side of the fog light is a metal clip, hence why you have to prise it out

It's easy when you know how to do it.

Oh and the white plastic bit you snapped is the adjuster for the fog light so if you're refitting them you might wanna invest in some new ones lol

Great, many thanks. After moving the spot from left to right and being a bit more positive with it its out now, wasn't easy though! Will see if I can fix the adjuster now.

Cheers
