It has been either raining, foggy or overcast the past 2 weeks. I finally had a chance to take photos with (more than) enough sunlight.

Wow, the LED lights are perfect, they really set the car off  Don't know where you are, but from the look of the weather and the backdrops, you are not located in Swindon...
Oh yes, and congratulations on the use of a long lens + polarizer (other members, take note)
-
nice. I guess dubai

Thanks, FroGTI.. Are your LEDs the darker R ones? Saw your pictures of your LEDs on another thread and they looked great on carbon grey..

Middle East, I am sure. Maybe Dubai.
Palm trees, writing on litter bin is in Arabic and he has bought the car from a garage Al....

They get LED's as standard ?
-
I think they are factory optional over in Dubai iirc from my last work visit there.

Ahh, thanks.

Kev, the LEDs came standard on my car which was quite nicely specced. I think they sell two trim levels here. The "base" GTI do not come with LEDs..
Yes, I am in Dubai..
-
Umm nice  looks like mine used to look before the rain damage of this week.
What spec exactly?

Great Car and great photo's. I like the colour and the Xenons and wish i had the Sun also (I live in Hull England !)
Hope you enjoy it and with weather like that you probably won't have to wash it every 5 minutes unless you use it as a dune buggy

Unfortunately, dark colours are not really advisable here.. gets covered in dust easily.. just imagine sand plus foggy mornings..
-
Tell me about it! My carbon grey gets covered in dust even in bone dry conditions, especially on the back
-
very nice
Car looks great with that backdrop... i can imagine a few of the people on here having ordered grey nicking those as a desktop for the time being

The only colours (from a choice of 9) that look relatively clean over a longer time period are Tornado Red, Reflex Silver and Steel Grey.
Dark colours look especially classy at night.

I feel we should welcome posts from GTi owners from everywhere.
It is good to be inclusive within reason.

it was only a light hearted comment. ppl take things too seriously man! maybe they should vent there anger on the road when they overtake them chavs in there motors. in failing that they ought to masturbate their ego's at the thought of those mark5 owners looking enviously at your mark 6.
