can some1 tell me where i mount the power steering pump on 8v. cheers

Under the water pump... have a good look at a Mk2 with it fitted and then decide if it is really worth the time and trouble.
The Haynes manual has a few sentences on the topic.
Good on you if you are determined and decide to go ahead..

is this a real sh!t job, i have the car stripped was going to put it all on with engine and subframe out the car.

,,,,,sorry.......that's different... if you have the car prepared as you say, it should be much more straightforward. Presumably you will have the appropriate rack and hydraulic piping, reservoir, and pump.... additional pulleys to link pump to the crankshaft...etc etc.
Study a car which has pas already fitted and you'll have a reference point.

its much easyer with the ening out but mine was already out when i did it , as there is so many brackets/different length bolts , but its well worth it :smiley:
