hi there does the early  rcd 300 play copyed cds and mp3 cds cheers

it will play copies and compilations but not mp3

The later ones that do, have MP3 printed above the disk slot.

many thanks i thought so just that my saab 93 plays copied cd but not mp3 so thats ok ...not long now before the change over cant wait

Badly - it's a woeful head unit imho.
