Just got my New GTI on Sat, and the following day some women was revving her engine next to me.
Well I could not resist it, and just floored it lol.....
-
I'm 43 and I hope I don't revert to childhood like that when I get inside her - oo err, Mrs!
-
lol bet you do.... at least once.
when I floored it though the car just made a thudding nice, I assume that was wheel spin?
Wont be doing that again.... tyres are not cheap.
Any way still smoked them lol

a pal of mine popped round last night with his new '10 plate' Porsche GT3 - struth!

i have a pet hamster...

VmW
...and he or she takes less than 4-odd seconds to get from 0-62mph? not sure where nor how the hamster comes into this discourse...
-
the thudding feeling when flooring it off the lights is the traction control kicking in
turn it off and you will accelerate alot smoother

James
Could not see the relevance of the GT3 in this discussion as well. Sorry James, maybe i'm just thick..
off to get me coat..
-
..about as relevant as the pet hamster....actually, more relevant - the Porsche is a car - ok, all....back to Gti's...

mother has a C4S convertible - as it happens, it's so not me - I'm 6ft tall and find getting in and out of it, and sitting so close to the ground, is not good for me - I'll be perfectly happy with the Gti.
-
used to drive my dads posher... think the golf is better.
He had to get rid of it as he was ill for a bit, and sold it when I had just re-fuelled it doh!!!
-
time will tell but I think the Gti will be all I need/want...
-
I dont think I'll ever grow up to be honest. Heck I cant even behave myself on a message board
I think thats why we have kids (no I dont have any yet) there's the excuse to keep buying toys and gasgets etc - It's for the kids honest dear.

More like wheel hop rather than wheelspin ?
With the grip of the tyres the engine and box move rather than the tyres spinning, causing the wheels to bounce (me thinks) had it a few times on mine sounds like the front end is falling off,
Didn't have that problem with the softer winter tyres, they just dug in and took off.
