Hey, one of my rear calipers is grinding and has worn through pads super quick and also the disc. I cannot see the code on the caliper as it has rusted off. Also my car happens to be an F Reg so it could have either caliper.

If possible would you be able to point out for me aswell which caliper i will be needing on GSF.

check the handbrake cable, if its on the bottom its post 88, if on the top its pre 88. also, check the number cast on it, if 36 its early if 38 its later. might be worth thinking about upgrading to mk3 calipers, will last a bit longer, tho if you buy new you should be fine as long as you maintain em

The caliper has the number 38 on it so it must be the later one. Whilst ive got the money and i like my dear old car i think im gonna buy two new mk2 ones, i have new deflector shields things and will get new discs, pads and maybe a new handbrake cable. So the rear will be all new and good. Thanks alot for the guidance jonny :D
