hi all,
does anybody know weather i can just take out my upper glove box and lower shelf
and just do a straight swap for a passenger airbag and lower glove box????
thinking of some safety for my good lady..

I've done this on my CL because I wanted my dash to look the same as a VR6.
I removed the glovebox and fitted a passenger airbag. Then purchased a lower glovebox at a later date. Both items fit fine!!
The only thing is, I don't have the passenger airbag connected up, because the plug isn't there for it behind the dash!!
I have a passenger airbag for sale if you need one. Hope that clutch cylinder is still going strong too!!

joe,
i take it i will have the plug to connect the air bag already on my car somewhere behind the dash?????
if so how much you want for it.
and yes that cylinder is spot on..cheers mate

I'm not entirely sure mate you'd have to check.
I paid £20 for my airbag but I had to collect it! It's quite heavy so I'd say £25 posted :undecided:

Bit more than just plugging it in, your going to need the control module as well.

Not 100% sure the control module is not fitted to the airbag but down behind the center console (I think), again I am guessing but the dual airbag one will be different, even after fitting it will need turning on with vagcom.
