Title: Two bucket wash
Post by: naturn007 on 05 March 2010, 19:26
Hi all,
I used the 'two bucket wash' method today.  To be honest I thought this was a bit anal, but now I have used this method, I am impressed.  Certainly no transfer of dirt from one panel to the next, and the soapy bucket has never stayed so clear for so long!! Loved it.
will always wash that way now.

For anyone who does not know what I am talking about here is the link to the method. For all those who do, I am now converted. lol

The difference is unbelievable, especially when you have clear buckets like the Dodo Juice ones.

The proof for me that it works is that my drying towel is always clean AFTER I've dried the car.

And it doesn't really take much longer to use two buckets instead of one.

i tend to think of it like... if you had a shower and were still rubbing off dirt with a towel when you got out then you can't have had a very good wash!

so whats the difference??? ure washin it then ure gonna soak it in clear water and rinse so now that bucket is full of sh!t and then back into the soapy bucket surely that makes using bucket number 2 pointless.

worked well for me too.  also found a micro-fibre leather shami jobby works very well to dry the car off with afterwards.
