Title: where can you buy rebuilt/new gti engines?

Hi just an idea at the moment but just wondered if anyone could help with where sells new/recondtioned mk2 16v engines?

Pretty hard to come by re-built but could be fun getting a running engine, stripping it and doing all the gaskets, plugs and pumps? Or risk just wacking it straight in?

tes engines in dartford kent, aka theengineshop will rebuild your engine or supply exchange units, got my 16v bored out and rebuilt there, and so far 8000mile since its been sweet  :wink:
however for the money u pay you could build with a bit of research a very powerful 16v with itbs yourself
