Title: mk2 1990 suspension

i am running mk3 40mm lowered shocks and springs,do i need mk3 top mounts and caps for my car as with the mk2 mounts the springs wont turn with the shocks when i turn the wheel which causes the springs to pop out and make me steer to the left or right depending which way i turned.

and the mk2 top mounts and caps i have are brand new (not old ones)

and the caps are on the right way around

need help please

do you remember if the spring caps looked different to your old ones?  I'll try to find a piccy of what I mean...
