Title: Anyone running a bonnet bra?
Post by: Jimp on 05 March 2010, 14:09
Is anyone here running a bonnet bra? Where did you get them and how is the quality? Anything to look out for? This weeks big scratch from a stone chip has settled it for me and I want to get a bra to protect the bonnet once it has been fixed up. Thanks guys

I'm not doing this for looks but to keep the stone chips that are all over the roads at the moment from scratching the bonnet. I do a lot of mileage every week and the roads here are rubbish so I want to do what I can to minimise the damage.

I've just checked mkvgolfgolfgti.co.uk for you. There was one for sale in the classifieds, but it's now sold.

I think it was a group buy sometime ago, but I'm just running out the door & won't be able to check.

I'm not being rude, I personally think it looks poo - each to their own, of course...

I use one but only if i'm on a long run out when I don't want to get any damage to the bonnet,

I don't use it if its raining cos it can do more damage to the bonnet

I got one from Autobra, they cost £50 inc postage if you call them and say you are part of the group buy,
I have one, and think they look alright, and if it protects your bonnet on the long drives then its worth it in my opinion.
