Title: TDI 130 or 150
Post by: thecraftymagpie on 04 March 2010, 22:49
Hello,

I'm looking to buy a Golf TDI in the next few weeks and will have around £5000 to play with. Just looking for some opinions on which would be the best buy for me, ideally i'd like a few extras like heated seats etc...

Is there much difference in performance?

Sorry for the dumb questions, i've never owned a diesel before.

150 has some sort of intercooler that's good for remaping etc.

Brace yourelf, Rhyso is on his way. Run. Quick!

If you have £5k to play with I'd be looking for an early MK5 - might be better to increase your budget slightly and get a decent MK5.  As good as they are, MK4's are old cars now and spending that much on one - you're gonna lose a lot of money.

Is this a decent price for this TDI 150?

It's a 5 door, 52 plate with 100k on the clock.

FSH, 6 CD Multichanger, Climate control, Sunroof, Heated seats,  Headlight washers, Xenons etc...

Even has the delightful wooden trim

£4500

sounds a fair price, get them to knock £100 because of the wood trim though
