Title: Faulty ISV symptoms
Post by: raks.2008 on 04 March 2010, 20:25
I have searched all the ISV threads and no where does it state problems that are related to the ISV. I have a 16V KR and the ISV buzz's when the ignition key is turned, but when the car get warm it regularly cuts out when the revs drop.... Does this mean I have a faulty ISV? I did clean it with petrol as learnt from a thread but didnt work...

yes isv can cause cut out, give it a clean with carb cleaner there's load of threads on this also overrun cutoff valve can be a cause, aswell as isv control module

do a search for 16v cutting out or 16v idling problems

try unplugging the over-run valve, mine used to cut out due to this. its the black plastic thing behind the airbox
