Title: Clutch on it's way out??

Hey folks, managed to get the golf through its MOT the day, slight headlight adjustment and a leaky exhaust isn't too bad!

However after picking the car back up i pulled off and almost instantly the revs went quite high and i wasn't moving that quick, went into second no probs,put the foot down, and again the revs started to climb up even though i was still doing about 20!

I'm thinking all this points to the clutch slipping and most likely on it's way out? Something i did notice the other day when driving along was i touched the clutch pedal very slightly and the revs climbed.

So if it is the clutch, are theyre any good recommendations on which to buy.

Hi matey

Sounds like the clutch may be on it's way out. There's a really good reputable place in Brighouse, West Yorkshire were I got mine from a recon but they are very gud and they supply a lot of racing clutches think I paid £40 for mine. Colder Clutches Tel...01484721045.

Good stuff ma man, cheers for the info! I'll give thhat place a call tomorrow and see what they say. I've got a mate who will fit it for mates rates!
